I have this old pattern book. When I bought it, I didn't know how many I would end up making, but they were all so cute. In fact, I have made both rug designs (my one sister has southwest decor, and my other sister has a Persian rug in her dining room), the e-wizard design when my son started computer classes in college, and the Shop Talk Email design for a gift exchange at work for someone who only used her computer for emailing and shopping. This was before smartphones. I still want to make some of the others because I still think they are all really cute. Any more you don't really need a mousepad for an optical mouse, but we got in the habit of having one, most everyone I know still uses one. I did find out (and luckily my son had time to try his out before I made the other gifts) that the old roller ball mice really wore and frayed the yarn, so I made the others using the nylon plastic canvas yarn. However, that probably isn't necessary with the newer mice. Also, these could also be used for trivets, especially the coffee design for the kitchen.
I love these mouse pads and have been studying them out. I received them in the mail in about 6 days and was pleased with the fast delivery. I like the books better than the downloads because I do not have a working printer, and I love to sit in my recliner char and look at all the wonderful things I could make!! I am about to start one of the projects soon. I have entered several of my plastic canvas projects in our Crawford County Fair in the summer month of August. I got blue ribbons and a Judges Choice championship prize. Thank you for all those good ideas and fast delivery. I hope that you will keep on having the books as well as downloads. Sincerely and Merry Christmas to all of you! Karen P.
