Backward Loop Cast-On

| Pick up the working yarn with your left hand and create a loop. Twist the loop around a half turn to the right. Put the loop on the knitting needle and pull the working yarn to tighten. Repeat until you have cast on the number of stitches indicated in the pattern. | |
